Amped Up Entertainment acquires Tennessee Sports Magazine.
MURFREESBORO, Tenn., — On November 30th, 2011 Amped Up Entertainment acquired the Tennessee Sports Magazine. Amped Up is very excited about this recent move, which only shows the growth in the company. With the acquisition Amped Up will expand its sports coverage to more readers across the state of Tennessee covering the inside and outs of sports. Amped Up Entertainment is committed to maintaining the same mission for the Tennessee Sports Magazine.
Tennessee Sports Magazine started early in 2010, focusing on the positive aspects of the game. The magazine’s mission statement read: To tell the ‘story behind the story’ about sports in Tennessee. We focus on high school, college, and professional sports as well as some of the sports you rarely hear about – whether it’s kayaking, cycling or skeet shooting; we’ve got our writers in the field covering it.
There were 14,500 copies of Tennessee Sports Magazine distributed to more than 100 outlets, including more than 30 racks at Mapco Express convenience stores. The magazine began it’s history as the Middle Tennessee Sports Magazine.
Amped Up Entertainment hosts AmpedUpMagazine.com, publishes Amped Up Magazine’s Rutherford Sports, a monthly newspaper that covers all types of Rutherford, County sports ranging from little leagues to professional sports, and Amped Up Motorsports, a monthly racing newspaper that covers everything from dirt track racing to NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing. Amped Up Entertainment is unique because is supports aspiring journalists, artists, and activists by offering them the opportunity to exercise, contribute, and develop their skills to help launch successful careers.
