Harvick Takes Anniversary Trip to Victory Lane

Joey Logano’s momentum has been unmatched since his Daytona 500 win last week. Capturing the pole position for both the XFINITY Series and Sprint Cup Series races, he posted a strong second place finish in the XFINITY Series race, and led fifty-nine laps. Alternating with Kevin Harvick for the lead of the race, Logano was unable to overcome him after the final restart.
More notable, Kevin Harvick dominated the majority of the Hisense 250 XFINITY Series race, capturing the win in the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. Harvick led over one hundred laps, but it was the final pit road battle victory that led to his success and trip to victory lane. Not only did Harvick secure his third consecutive win in this series at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he celebrated his eleventh wedding anniversary in victory lane. This win came just after Harvick lost the engine in his Sprint Cup Series car during final practice.
In addition to Logano and Harvick running the front line, Matt Kenseth also had a good run towards the front before settling for an eighth place finish. Perhaps these are the drivers to watch during tomorrow’s Folds of Honor Quik Trip 500 race.
