PREDATORS REDUCE ROSTER TO 55
-Assign three to junior teams, release three from tryout agreements-
Nashville, Tenn. (September 21, 2014) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned forwards Justin Kirkland (Kelowna, WHL) and Tommy Veilleux (Victoriaville, QMJHL), and defenseman Aaron Irving (Edmonton, WHL) to their junior teams. Nashville also released forward Mathew Campagna, defenseman Jon Puskar and goaltender Devin Williams from tryout agreements.
Nashville’s training camp roster is now at 55 players – 32 forwards, 18 defensemen and five goaltenders. An updated roster is attached.
The Nashville Predators travel to take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. CT, before hosting the Lightning on Thursday (7 p.m.). Nashville’s home preseason slate also includes a home double-header on Saturday, Sept. 27 against the Florida Panthers (3 p.m., 7 p.m.), and a tilt on Monday, Sept. 29 against the Columbus Blue Jackets (7 p.m.).
The Preds begin the 2014-15 regular season on Bridgestone Arena ice for just the second time in the last seven season, hosting the Ottawa Senators on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. CT (FOX Sports Tennessee, 102.5 The Game).
